APPLY FOR IN TRANSIT PERMITS TO MOVE UNREGISTERED VEHICLES AT OUR EDMONTON OFFICE

You can move an unregistered vehicle from one location to another inside Alberta or to another Province, however, you must first provide proof of ownership, proof of valid insurance, and a description of the vehicle including the make, year and serial number.

 

In-transit permits are only issued in the following situations :

• Unregistered vehicles moving from point A to B 

• Towed vehicles, demonstration, test drive purposes,repairs and servicing ( for a maximum of 7 days)

• Salvage vehicles ( for a maximum of 24 hours)
